Hexarelin before and after

Hexarelin: the published human record for this peptide contains no photographs, no scale readings and no body scans. It contains blood draws. Researchers injected it into a vein and watched one hormone rise for about an hour.

Search hexarelin before and after and you get physique photos. The published human work measured one thing: growth hormone in a blood tube, peaking 30–60 min after an intravenous dose. No human study measured muscle or fat.

The short answer. No human hexarelin trial used body composition, weight or photographs as an endpoint. The endpoint was serum growth hormone.

Hexarelin has no before-and-after trial. Human studies measured one thing: growth hormone in blood. Published doses ran 0.5 to 2 µg/kg into a vein. The peak came 30–60 min later. One 16-week study saw that response nearly halve. No trial measured weight, fat, or muscle.

What hexarelin before and after actually measured

The human hexarelin literature is a hormone literature. People were given the peptide into a vein, blood was drawn on a clock, and growth hormone was counted.

Published human work used 0.5 to 2 µg/kg intravenously. Half the peak response already came at about 0.5 µg/kg. The curve rose and fell inside about an hour. We set out what each study administered on the hexarelin dosage page.

That is the whole measured before and after in humans. A number before the injection. A higher number after it. Then back down.

No published human trial of hexarelin used body weight, lean mass, fat mass or a photograph as an endpoint. The endpoint was serum growth hormone. A hormone spike is not a result you can see in a mirror.

The one long study: the before and after is a fade

There is a longer human record, and it cuts against the photos rather than supporting them.

One study ran 16 weeks at 1.5 µg/kg twice a day. Over that period the growth hormone response nearly halved. The same dose stopped doing what it did on day one.

That is tachyphylaxis, and it is the single most important fact about this compound. The receptor adapts. Our hexarelin complete guide covers the two targets involved: the ghrelin receptor, which drives the hormone release, and CD36, which is where most of the animal cardiac work lands.

A before-and-after image implies the effect grew over time. The only multi-week human measurement of hexarelin shows the measured effect shrinking over time.

What the animal studies measured instead

The preclinical file is genuinely large. We count 35+ preclinical papers across roughly 7 indications. Almost none of them is about appearance.

Three rodent studies carry most of the weight, and zero of them reached a human trial.

Hexarelin targets neuroinflammatory pathways to preserve cardiac morphology and function in a mouse model of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion.

McDonald et al., Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, 2020 — study title

Read that endpoint again. Cardiac morphology in a mouse after an induced heart attack. That is the quality of outcome this compound has been tested against, and it has nothing to do with a shirtless photo.

Hexarelin alleviates apoptosis on ischemic acute kidney injury via MDM2/p53 pathway.

Guan et al., European Journal of Medical Research, 2023 — study title

The nearest thing to imaging evidence is a 2022 Frontiers in Physiology paper that used synchrotron radiation to image hexarelin's actions in the hearts of small animals. Real pictures. Rodent hearts.

Did anything measure fat or muscle?

One study comes close, and it is in mice.

Stimulation of endogenous pulsatile growth hormone secretion by activation of growth hormone secretagogue receptor reduces the fat accumulation and improves the insulin sensitivity in obese mice.

Huang et al., FASEB Journal, 2021 — study title

That is the body-composition claim in its original form: obese mice, a receptor hexarelin also hits, and a measured drop in fat accumulation. It is a legitimate finding. It is also a mouse.

Translating it into a human physique result requires three jumps nobody has made in print: from mouse to person, from a receptor-level result to this specific peptide at a sustained dose, and from a metabolic readout to a visible change. The 16-week fade in the human growth hormone response is the obstacle sitting in the middle of all three.

Why the photographs do not settle it

Before-and-after images in this category have no control arm, no timeline you can verify, and no record of what else the person was doing.

There is also a hard regulatory fact worth knowing before anyone attaches a photo to a competition result. The World Anti-Doping Agency prohibits growth hormone secretagogues, hexarelin included, under section S2 of the Prohibited List. That ban applies at all times, in and out of competition.

What you can check before you buy

You cannot verify a photograph. You can verify a vial.

Hexarelin is not FDA-approved for any use. Vials in this market typically run $45–$80 for smaller sizes and $75–$140 for larger ones, which tells you very little about what is inside them.

One more absorption fact, since it shapes what any product claim can mean. By mouth, only 0.3% of hexarelin got into circulation in human work, and a 2021 Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B study in rats had to use paracellular permeation enhancers to move the intestinal permeability of hexarelin at all. Oral hexarelin products are selling against that number.

What to know now

What we're watching

Watch for a human trial with a body-composition endpoint. As of now there is none. Until one exists, every hexarelin before-and-after photo is an uncontrolled image attached to a compound whose only long human measurement is a fading hormone response.

Frequently asked questions

Are there real hexarelin before and after results?

Not in the published human literature. Human studies of hexarelin measured growth hormone in blood after an intravenous dose. None measured weight, fat mass, lean mass or appearance. The photographs circulating online have no control arm and no verifiable baseline.

How long does hexarelin keep working?

The relevant human data is discouraging. One study ran 16 weeks with twice-daily dosing and the growth hormone response nearly halved over that period. The receptor adapts. That is called tachyphylaxis, and it is the most consistent human finding about this peptide.

Did hexarelin reduce body fat in any study?

A 2021 FASEB Journal paper reported that activating the growth hormone secretagogue receptor reduced fat accumulation and improved insulin sensitivity in obese mice. That is a mouse result at the receptor level. No human study of hexarelin has measured fat mass.

Is hexarelin FDA-approved?

No. Hexarelin is not approved for any indication and there are zero published Phase II or Phase III trials. It is sold as a research chemical. The approval status of any pharmaceutical it resembles is not the status of a research vial.

Is hexarelin banned in sport?

Yes. The World Anti-Doping Agency lists growth hormone secretagogues, including hexarelin, under section S2 of its Prohibited List. The prohibition applies in and out of competition, so a tested athlete has no compliant window.

Does oral hexarelin work?

Oral absorption is very poor. In human work only about 0.3% of an oral dose reached circulation. A 2021 rat study in Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B needed paracellular permeation enhancers to move hexarelin across the intestinal wall at all.

What people actually report

These are self-reports, not evidence. No control group, no blinding, and no independent check that the vial held what the label claimed. They are collected here because people asking about Hexarelin deserve an answer rather than a refusal, and because what the community believes is itself worth knowing. Quotes are excerpts; each links to the original post.

Uncontrolled, unverified self-report only. The reports converge on something fast and blunt: hunger, gym pumps, deeper sleep and quicker recovery inside three weeks, then a shared belief that it stops working. There is dissent in the same threads. One user doubled up on day two and still felt nothing. Another calls it harsh on prolactin and cortisol. One reply says he should have just gotten growth hormone, and another user pushed back that the two are not the same thing.

Where the community and the published record disagree. The forums cannot agree on when hexarelin quits working. One poster wrote that he had most likely already desensitized after 21 days. The same poster, in an earlier thread, wrote that he had heard it takes three months. A YouTube explainer goes further and warns it shuts the GH system off permanently. One long-term human study actually measured it. Rahim, O'Neill and Shalet, in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism in 1998, tracked the GH response across sixteen weeks of twice-daily hexarelin therapy. The area under the GH curve fell from 19.1 to 13.1 micrograms/L.h after one week, about a third, and to 10.5 by week 16, about 45 percent. Four weeks after therapy ended it was 19.4, and no longer significantly different from baseline. The authors call the effect a partial and reversible attenuation. The fade starts far sooner than the three-month figure traded in the threads, and the permanent shutdown the video warns about is not in that data.
